We're back! It was nice to be away, but we did talk about DS a lot. I only called home once to check on things, which made DH happy. He was all tough about it, but then who was the one rolling around on the floor with Nathan two seconds after we got home, covering him with kisses and hugs... yeah, DH.

My sister fed Nathan leftover mac and cheese with crab for dinner last night, and toast with peanut butter and a banana for breakfast. She didn't keep track of how much he ate, but said he 'did well' so I think it is fine.

Hi guys!!! Wow on the new thread! So glad you had a good time away Amy. Been a rough few days here - DS has been fighting a nasty cold with a post nasal cough. Still eating well enough though, but am so tired I can't remember it all. Will start anew here today!

PMSL  ;D

My Mum bought them for DD from M&S - they're new and are from the Percy Pig range (mmm I love those sweets  ;)). Apparently they were of 3 for 2 so Mum just couldn't resist!! Didn't know how to explain them - they have a layer of jelly at the bottom of the pot and a then on top is a layer of mousse . . . but no mice were harmed in the making of these puddings (well not that I know of!)

do you still entertain your toddler at this age during the meal? i had finally tought him to use fork etc but he does not want to use them now. caregiver use alot of book, toys or cam. so he does not want to use caterings, preffer to play with things.

Glad to see the new thread. Have been off for a while as DS sick and me too amd lots socially. Also DS complete off his food for last 3 days so list would pretty much be copious amounts of BM and cheerios and not much else.
I am getting more flexible with DS's diet and will let him have cake on friday for his birthday. At a party on Sat other babes eating cake but DS was happy with strawberries. I draw the line at salty things though as they can be fatal rather than just unhealthy. As well as the being hungry I worry that DS will miss out on nutrients if he skips a meal completely as it is very hard at this age to eat enough. I am not up for cooking two dinners but I do try to cook things that DS will eat because I remember being given things I hated as a child and feeling physically sick at the thought of having to eat them and it made me want to eat more rubbish snacks if I knew dinner would be horrid.

Today:
B: Cheerios (refused chapati and banana) and middle of donut
L: 2 cherry tomatoes, cheerios, raisins. few bites baguette. Refused cheese sandwich
D: beans on toast
