my 5 month old has been breastfed up until 4 months.  Due to my return to work I have decided to give up the breastfeeding.  I have decided to do it gradually dropping a feed a week. My LO will only take 2-3oz of formula at the 11am feed and then cries for the breast half an hour later.  I have tried giving her more formula but she won't take it.  She just seems hungry all day but only wants the breast. It is really starting to get me down as I feel so bad for her.  I have tried three different types of formula and tons of different bottles, I think I have found the ones she prefers.

It can be a very long, gradually process. Really all you can do is keep trying. Have you seen our FAQ on the issue? Breastfed babies and bottles
