NW in a 3.5 YO
« on: March 07, 2014, 13:26:08 pm »
Over the last week or two, DD2, who is 3.5 YO, has been waking at night (or rather, early in the morning).  Seems to happen several nights a week, and always around 4-5 am.

When she wakes, she starts crying and is very unhappy.  By the time I get to her she is often sobbing (which is her first reaction to many things, but that's a different issue  ::)  She will ask to do things like eat breakfast, and at 5 am this morning, she was crying demanding to go downstairs and watch a movie.

I don't recall having any NW with DD1.  Anybody BTDT? Is it a phase?  Developmental leap (I haven't noticed anything in that regard).

Has she stopped napping?
Does she have a gro-clock or similar so she knows when it is night and morning time?

There is a dev leap around 3.5 yrs (every half year there is a leap) so it could be that.  I also wondered could it be she needs the toilet, eg a poop?
DD1 - 8 years old
DD2 - 5 years old
