19 month old night wakings
« on: March 05, 2015, 20:49:02 pm »
Ella is 19 months and has started to wake up during the night having previously slept well.
She is teething but is fine in herself and not bothered by it during the day aside from chewing on fingers.
She goes to bed at 7.15 pm no problem but then awakes any time from 8.30pm onwards.
When she had a cough recently I was giving Calpol and water and I think maybe I have created a bad habit?
How do you suggest I go about sorting this out?
She wakes at 7am ish and naps every day between 1 and 2.30pm

Hi Honey,
As your DD is 19mo I have moved you to Sleeping for Toddlers board as this is the best place to discuss sleeping problems for 1yo+.
Hope you will find some help here!

My general comments would be:
- is she napping for 1.5h for long? Maybe it's time to cap her nap slightly?
- at 18mo there is an awful sleep regression which usually has to be just rode out... how long your NW are going on?

I also encourage you to see this thread where mummies with kiddos around 18mo talk about sleep regression.
