I honestly don't think there's pain involved it's just not that kind of behaviour. Restless, awake, water, looking at gro clock etc.

But I must thank you for your advice. It helps. He won't crash before 3. He cracks but not crashes. Hmm.

I'm going to see if I can sleep tho he seems to be waking again.

Thank you for being there Anna

He says nothing hurts.

He's just so ot he can't sleep

Wdnt call this a broken night. It's an awake night. Are you sure I need to keep him up?

No, I'm not sure, just telling you what I would do. Personally I would not offer a nap, but would do an early bedtime. I think we have seen that offering a nap just tends to lead to even worse nights. You could choose to offer a short nap and then a much later bedtime. If he's just restless and awake does he need you? Can you rest even if you can't sleep?

Maybe you will have an EW, it seems likely. You will survive, and do an early bedtime tomorrow. Longer term, what needs to happen is concentrating on B being independent for sleep and at NWs, so that you can sleep even if he is restless (this crucial, for the rest of his childhood he will have occasional restless nights but that doesn't mean your nights need to be sleepless also).

I know you say he's not ill but it does sound like it to me, having a fever for one day and lots of NWs. I'd give pain meds even if DS was like that even if he couldn't verbalise the discomfort.

hand holding x

me too xxx

If he's slept til a decent time in the morning I'd probably leave bedtime or just do it slightly early.

Yeah, I'm going to aim to stick to 6.30 bt.

Think we will just stay home try to keep him entertained.

Thank you all for your night time support that was one hell of a night.

Well guys, Benji started tantruming at 2.30 and fell asleep on me on the sofa at 2.45 so I let him sleep 15/20 mins. He's recovered himself.

I don't know what this means for bt and our night?!

Did I do the right thing? That is the rules isn't it?! I just wish I understood.

Yup that is the rule. You listened to his needs so I think you did the right thing :) I would stick with normal bt and leave it up to him when he falls asleep

Sorry for the rough night x
aishi :)

Yes I thought i had done the right thing too Aishi but he won't go to sleep.

It's 7.10pm

Why? He should be exhausted after 12nws last night and crashing this afternoon, no?

Whenever he has fallen asleep kater than 6.45 on a nnd so far the night has been terrible and/or short.

Did other people's Los go to sleep at 6.30 after a 15min micro nap and how does this affect nights?
