Title: food intollerance tests
Post by: magdalenapl on February 07, 2015, 21:53:23 pm
Hello Ladies

My LO is 10,5 months now, formula fed (Nutramingen AA) due to MSPI. We are hardly introducing solids, he reacts very poor for almost everything I gave him. The range of the foods I tried is really small. Sometimes it seems like he reacts OK for certain food but if he eats more for a third or fourth time he gets rush, egzema, stomach issues...
I am really overwhelmed by this, so we decided to do allergy test for him. But everything we tested was OK. The test were done for IgE antibodies specific. Our GE said he has rather food intollerances and we should do the tests for IgG antibodies. Did you do any tests for food intollerance for your LO ?

For myself I did the MRT test it is one of the best tests for intolerances. It is only a blood test so it can probably be done for a small child.

My daughter reacts the same to solids and has been diagnosed with FPIES.   It is worth discussing with your doctor about.  There is no test for it, but it does sound like it is a possibility for you.
