Hello everyone...I've looked through some of the recent posts for help on this - but still need help :) We just got back from a horrendous week long vacation with LOTS of family & my lo got very particular about drinking...he had been drinking 3 or 4 bottles of about 6 ounces before the vacation - during the vacation since he wouldn't drink milk (out of a sippy or bottle) I gave him more solids just to get something in him...that seems to have made the problem worse. He now drinks about 4-5 ounces when he wakes up if I'm lucky out of a bottle, the next late in the afternoon about 4 (about 6 ounces) & another 4-6 at night. Is this enough? Am I just behind the times & he doesn't need as much milk as I'm trying to give him or is something wrong? I've tried to hold off on solids & get him hungry for milk but if I do that he just wont eat anything. He has no problem drinking water out of both sippy and bottle - so I know it's not that he has an aversion to them.
Just need a little help - I think I'm making the problem worse now by trying to get him to drink milk now when he doesn't want to - now everytime he sees a sippy he screams...great!
By the way - he's 9 1/2 months old ( 18 lbs, 30 inchs) Taking two 1.5-2 hr naps a day...thanks in advance!

Hi Brandi
Here is a guide for formula intake https://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=67569.0 I wouldn't force the issue it could make him totally refuse,
Calum went through a change at 9months and went from about 28oz of milk to 20 - 24oz, he also gets lots of calium in ither ways such as yogurts, cheese, etc......
Take a look at the link above and see where you can give him the recommendaed milk intake and give more calium through his solids.
Give me a shout if you need help. ;)

Thank you! I guess his milk intake is right in range...I'm just going to have to tread lightly with the sippy ordeal. He was doing great & now it's seems we've taken a few steps back...I'll look into some posts to see how to approach that one ;) Thank you!

Here is an extract from one of Tracys books about using a sippy.

Thanks again for the advice...I looked at the link and I was making a few mistakes. I'm going to start over from square one I think. I was giving him more than one sippy & I think that may have been confusing him...to many options I guess! Thanks!
