Bottle to cup - how to make up formula?
« on: November 24, 2005, 22:46:33 pm »
I am not sure if this is the right place or not, but I will give it ago.  I am in the middle of getting my 7.5mth old to have his milk from a sippy cup instead of a bottle.  He is doing very well at this and he is taking it with his breakfast, lunch and midafternoon drink.  I am still giving a bottle for last before bed.

My question is if I want to get rid of bottles, how do I make up the formula?  At present, I am making each drink up in the bottle and pouring it into the cup.  Can I make up the equivalent of four bottles in a jug and keep it in the fridge or should I continue to make it up as I go inthe bottle? :?

Sorry if this sounds confusing :? but it just seems like I still have bottles around when I am trying to get rid of them.

Any advice would be good.

Thanks

On my tin of formula it says made up formula must be refrigerated and used within 24 hours so you should be right to make up a big jug and pour as you need.

lisa - it is fine to make it in a jug - when i went to tresillian they made large batches of the formula in a big jug for each of us and we just took what we needed at feed times.
