BLW lunch ideas
« on: January 02, 2011, 10:58:27 am »
Hi

Tyler is 13 months old and is BLW, although he almost feeding himself from the spoon for yoghurt.  He has a thing about breadcrumb covered food like fish fingers, veg sticks, turkey etc,  But I also make things like quiche, omlettes etc.  he will eat veg and loves fruit also.  I'm basically after some other ideas for lunch and dinner that he can feed himself.  He had boiled egg on toast yesterday which he seemed to enjoy, and then turkey dinosaurs, veg fingers and cherry tomatoes for tea.

any ideas ?

BLW doesn't have to be all finger food at this stage...as far as I know.

At this age, Emma was doing well with well-chopped pasta dishes like the rest of us were eating as well as meat and two veg dishes and even soups -she'd use the spoon for some of it and then a straw for the rest.

I really used BLW with her as a means to get her onto our "menu" asap...and it was SO SO worth it!

Good luck and let us know how you go!
