Todays naps haven't gone too well...
I think it felt worse than it looks (always feel terrible when there's been a refusal because the crying and holding get to be such hard work)
1hr 45 nap, 1hr 30 nap these are great!
1hr nap, not that bad
nap refusal will be because it was such a short A time.

If you'd done that 3pm nap a bit later giving a 1hr 45 A the nap might have gone longer.

BTW I just discovered some of the timings seems to have a typo in that 3.5hr EASY I linked you to. The point though is to focus on E every 3.5hr and fit naps between. It's ok to have some A before E if the naps are shorter.

I would keep an eye on that possible reflux.  Back arching can sometimes mean they want putting down so they can sleep (esp independent sleepers) but a combination of symptoms needs to be checked out.

Yeah I did apop as I put him in bouncer and used vibration mode to see if he went to sleep but he wasnt having it. I ended up just pushing him through to 7.

Thanka for your help.  Its really appreciated.

Thanks creation.
I will do a 3.5hr tomorrow and see how we go. Il post it up for you to take a look at. I have my MIL here tomorrow so it probably will go up the wall (we wont get into that but if you have one you will know what I mean, 😀)

I hope he takes well to the 3.5hr on a potential growth spurt.  We had cluster feeds tonight and He awoke again at 10 and wouldnt settle so gave him an unexpected quick feed. I dunno if im falling into a trap doing that but heyho. Whatever works eh!

I think doing a 3.5hr easy will end up easae

Just another quick qu...
If I do a 3.5hr feeding schedule do I want to start extending the morning nap start time by 15 mins as per the transition?  Or should I just do 3.5hr feeds with 1.5 A time? Sorry for all the qus.

Follow up on boys latest antics.

E         4.30  / 5 (2oz TU)
A         3.30- 5.15
SY       5.15 - 6.15 (didn't fall asleep till 6pm)

A.       6.20   bath
E.       7         breast & book
S        7.15-30    took ages to settle

E 10.30     then woke up every 20/30

So.. he didnt do well at the 5pm catnap. I struggled to get him to settle him till 5.50/6pm so he slept for all of 10 mins. I have him a bath which he cried through mostly. Then when fed at 7pm and put down he took 30 mins to settle and finally fell asleep.  He has aince woke up and I fed him at 10.30. Had to resettle 6/7 times since then.

So do I need to sack off the catnap if he doesnt go down by 5.30 say and just do an earlier bedtime?  Maybe miss bath and just feed n put to bed?
I feel like we've def hit the 4 month sleep regression even though I technically only had him sleep through the two nights before. Im gutted. He was napping well and slept lovely all swaddled up and now this. Talk about bad luck. Sigh#

How long does this bloody spurt go on for? Im on day 2 and already going mad.  :(

Sounds like a great plan. You might also start the WD for CN maybe 10 min sooner if he is ok with that, it gives you a bit of time to get him settled to sleep and he won't be too tired for it (OT towards the later part of the day could make him harder to get down perhaps), although I know some LOs scream blue murder if you approach the bed room too soon so it depends on his character too. But yeah, if he woke at 3.30pm and you ditched the CN from him not settling I'd get on with BT immediately, say S by 6pm if you can, I know it's hard to fit in though, he'll need taking out of the room so he knows nap is over then start BT WD.

I know that day must have felt rough because you were working so hard to get that CN and then had so much disturbance in the night, but like I said before the other naps and most of the day look GREAT! Honestly you are doing a great job and getting good naps there.

A GS would usually last a few days. The 'regression' or transition to 4hr EASY can take a while. Their sleep is changing at this age and we see a lot of 4 month olds having disturbed sleep. you should be out of it by 6 months if not before.

(sorry for delayed reply I lost my internet connection)
