My 6 1/2 month old is tranistioning into eating solids and enjoying it quite a bit. However, I am confused when I look at the recommendation on a solids food schedule. He is currently on a 4 hr EASY. Most posts I've seen indicate that they serve solids in between bottles. Why is this? How did you make the transition (i.e. did your babies become hungry between meals?)? I've just been giving a few bites of solids when he is done with his bottle. Is this wrong? He usually takes 1 - 2 tablespoons after a 6-7 oz bottle, 3 times a day. No solids at bedtime, just 6-7 oz bottle.
Thanks so much! Just a little confusion!

The main reason why most folks give solids in between bottles is because that's the only way most babies will have even a tiny appetite for solids. There are soooo many different ways to do it, though, and what it comes down to is what works best for you and your LO. The main thing is to make sure his bottle intake doesn't decrease. It sounds like things are going well!

This is the same thing I had been wondering about!
