Post by: JoC on October 01, 2006, 18:17:59 pm
Hi,
We are big seafood fans in our houehold. Ds is 1 year and 1 month. He has been eating fish, tuna, smoked macrel etc but i can't find any info about when i can give him prawns. squid and mussels etc.
Does anyone know or know where i can find this info?

TIA

This talks about it. Not very happy reading though - mercury exposure!!! :o

With no family allergies I would personally say the odd bit of shrimp should be OK. Some say wait if you can though.

DD has been eating loads of seafood including prawns and squid and even muscles since we went to a scottish island on holiday and she wanted to eat all the fish I ate.  she has never reacted badly and she loves it so she has some sort of fish about 3 times a week.
