I have been following Baby Whisperer since my lo was 2 months old. She has always been a great sleeper, nap time and bed time, however we had some issues around 4 months and now we are having issues again. She transitioned to the 4 Hour EASY just before 6 months after trying at 4months unsuccessfully and will be 7 months on Feb 10. Her 2 bottom teeth started coming through about a week ago which caused quite a bit of pain for her at night so there was a lot of waking and not resettling herself without a few mom cuddles. Now that the teething seems to have settled, she is having a hard time settling at bedtime but is fine at nap time. We have a full bedtime routine but she is very restless in her crib for 1-2 hours until she finally goes to sleep, then wakes up crying after 30min and then falls back asleep close to 9pm for the night.
Here is her usual EASY routine:
E - 7am - wake and 3-4oz formula
8am - 2-3 tbsp cereal
A - 2hr
S - 9am - Nap 1.5-2hr
E - 11am - 3-4oz formula
12pm - 2-4 tbsp veg and fruit
A - 2hr
S - 1pm - Nap 1.5-2hr
E - 3pm - 3-4oz formula
A - 2hr
S - 5pm - Catnap usually 30min, sometimes 45min depending on how daytime naps went
E - 5:30pm - 4-6tbsp meat, veg, fruit
A - Play, Bath, Change, Story
S - 7pm - 3-4oz Bottle and bed, usually asleep by 7:30-8pm latest
E - 11pm - Dream feed 5-6oz
I am at a loss, not sure if she is overtired because of the week of teething or if it's a sign that she needs to drop the catnap or if she needs to extend her A time and shorten her 2 naps or if it's separation anxiety or if it's because of a development leap. Last night I tried putting her to bed 15min early at 6:45 and tonight I tried putting her to bed another 15min earlier at 6:30pm but still the same result. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thank you!
