Title: epm storage question
Post by: lovingabby on October 13, 2005, 10:25:28 am
Hello,
I pumped some milk and then placed it in the fridge. The next day I added milk to the bottles in the fridge but accidentally left them out at room temp. for two hours. Is it ok to still freeze this milk?
Thanks,
Suzanne

I say yes but check with a moderator.  You can always check it after it;s been thawed to see if it's foul.  If you're unsure, could you use it in your lo's cereal, that is if he/she is eating solids?

My LO is not eating solids yet although she is almost 5 months old - going to wait a few more weeks. That would be a great idea though.
Thanks,
Suzanne

I say "yes"--ebm is good for up to 10 hours at room temperature (provided it wasn't frozen previously).  Does the milk smell okay?  I think that's an easy way to tell.  It should be fine though.

I vote yes, that it's ok!
