Hi all!!
Poor Luke!! Sending you {{{{{{{{{{{{{breakthrough}}}}}}}}}}}}} vibes!!!! I am expecting Cait's second just any day now. Don't know if it is actually there, but my mom says it is. We will see.
Caeden's Mom: Yes, I am afraid I would INSIST that a crib/pack n play be obtained. IMMEDIATELY. Of course, I am anal to a certain degree. With Cait, the crib is more of a protective shield around her from Ryan. He used to Caitnap her out of her bassinnette and haul her to his room when she was just weeks old. Talk about giving me and dh a scare!!! And he did it twice. The third attempt was caught in the act of.
Seaflower, a pack n play is a compactible mobile play yard. They are one of the greatest inventions of modern day baby's!! It is a rectangular shape that resembles a crib, but is low to the ground and when you are ready to leave to go home, it collapses and folds up for easy toting around. Much better than the 1970 model that wouldn't fit in most cars. You would practically need a SUV to have one of those. I actually remember my sister's playpen...what a monster.
Adria, sounds as though your lo is just on the cusp of getting it all worked out. I know that sounds stupid, but it seemed that with Cait, the crazier her night hours got, the sooner they stopped. Does that make sense? It is as if they are crawling up a mountain and the closer the top they get, the more hurried and frantic they get and then when they crest the peak, it is (literally) all down hill from there. I used to get Cait fed around 6-7 pm and then down to bed for the night. But before I went to bed for the night, I would go ahead and dreamfeed her. That would definitely prolong the sleep time for her and I could grab 4-5 hours before she got up again. I only did that for a little bit though. Our homelife schedule wasn't routine enough to ensure a dreamfeed every night. I will say that I DID do a dreamfeed last night (at 5 months old  ) but that is because I was not home with her last night to feed her oatmeal. I knew that without that, she would be up at 4-5am and that is just too freakin' early on a Sunday, so I feed her at like 10:45 pm and she slept till 7:30 ish. Makes for a much happier/likable mommy.
Oh her highness is ready for nap. Have a great day everyone.
