Mackenzie's been ebf since birth. We did everything "right..." intro'd the bottle around 3 wks, gave her a bottle of ebm 2-3x per week, etc. She did great from the start and took it with no trouble. Then, around 3 mo, she decided to refuse it and scream instead. I wasn't home, so she ended up going 6 hrs until the boobie got home. Mind you, she was only going 3 hrs at night at the time.
So I pumped and gave bottles exclusively for a couple of days and that fixed her. Until now. She's 4 mo and it's happening again. Despite having several bottles over the weekend (more than usual) and taking them with no problem, she starting refusing and screaming instead yesterday. I tried again today and same thing.
I've tried just about every tip/technique out there. She usually doesn't like taking the bottle from DH (I'm guessing because he's been out of town a lot lately) but does give in eventually without much fuss. She always takes it better from me, but I'm at a loss. Do some babies just never really take to the bottle, no matter what you try? I work part time on the weekends and I don't want my boobies to be on a short leash for the next 8 mo!
