is there such thing as too much fluid?

Is there such thing as too much fluid? I really dont know exactly how much my 21mo old drinks, but most of his cups are probably 10 oz sippy cups. He probably drinks 5-9 of them a day. Most of which is water, sometimes a little juice at the bottom w/ water and milk. He eats fine, but I dont know if he is filling up on too much liquid and should be eating more food? Anybody have any idea? Thanks

I'm not sure what the recommended amount of fluids for a toddler is ( if there is even one ) but our H/V has advised us to take Ryan's drink away an hour before meals so he's not filling up on water and he feels hungry before his meal ,Ryan is a terrible eater ( we have a lot going on here with eating )so we are trying it this week .Ryan drinks a lot as he has reflux and it also helps with constipation .If he is eating fine then i don't see a problem with the amount of water he drinks , toddlers can run on very little food .
