EASY start time?
« on: October 06, 2006, 22:45:44 pm »
Hi!

I've started DD on EASY a few weeks ago, and it's been great! I just have a question...

She wakes up once or twice a night to feed (almost always different times, so I guess she's hungry!). My question is: if she wakes up at 5:30am to eat, and normal wake-up time is 7:30am, then should I feed her at 7:30 to start the day, or should I wait 'til 8:30am to feed? She is on a 3hr EASY. If I wait 'til 8:30am, then last feed of the night is 8:30pm and that's too late! If I feed her before the three hour mark, she tends to not eat very much (I'm BF, so I'm not sure how much!) then I have to feed her earlier the next cycle. So, what's the deal?

Start it at 7:30 as she settles into it you can start to eliminate one of the night feeds at a time.

I agree, feed at 7:30 - then stretch her out as long as possible to the next feed...as you eliminate night feeds it will work itself out.

do you mean stretch it past the next 3 hr. mark like past1030?im' having the same prob, trying to start at 7am, but the 5ish wake up to eat messes this up. and how do you get rid of a night feed?, so i feed at 7am regardless? H

Eh? Why stretch it? Doesn't that mess up the schedule even more? And I've tried adding minutes during the day to try and eliminate the night feeds but it doesn't work since when she's full, she refuses to eat anymore (fusses, bobs, cries etc).

No I meant get her to last to the 3 hr mark - I thought I read that she didn't last long after the 7:30 feed?  So do your best to get to 3hrs after 7:30 - ie 10:30.  If you don't make it, try to stick to 3 hrs after that, but each day try to stretch closer to 10:30.
