« on: October 10, 2006, 16:05:28 pm »
any advice on how to jiggle 3am and 6 am feeds closer to 4/5 and 7/8am? we've started to introduce a df of expressed which dh gives, he finds shes not interested at 11ish and thinks we should wait till 12ish, if we didn't give a df she would wake around 12.30 any way. any suggestions?

Hi Dee,

I would not recommed giving her the DF at 12, as it might interrupt her nights sleep by it's lateness.

How old is your dd?

At 6 weeks it's completely normal she wakes at 3 for a feed. The DF should be at 10 or 11 at this age.

If you want her to wake at 7 rather than 6 then try to hold her off with a paci as long as possible until you oficially decide to start the day  ;)

The reason I discourage the 12 DF is that you want her to learn to sleep longer streches at night and since the DF can bring them out of a deep sleep and lead to more night wakings.
