Post by: ~Alexa~ on January 06, 2009, 22:03:35 pm
Hello!! I've been reading about giving my DS low key activity because he is overstimulated, but I can't think of any ideas of low key activities!! Can you help me please?? He is 16 weeks old.

You may have to weed through them, but I bet there are some great ideas here: http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=52864.0

My DD loved to be sat by the window at that age, we live somewhere very quiet though, I'd also carry her around the garden, anything with toys would OS her  :P

Our favourite low-key activities at this age (and really, right up to now (13 mos)) are:

Looking out the window to see what we can see

Going in the sling for a quiet walk (weather permitting) - in the sling seems more relaxing to him than in the pushchair

Lying on mummy and daddy's bed and talking quietly with mummy

Having a cuddle with mummy and lovey

Thanks for your suggestions.  I will remove his toys when he needs low key A time so that he won't become OS.
I'll try all your ideas!!
