Question for anyone using Nestle Good Start
« on: October 03, 2006, 16:38:02 pm »
We've just switched our son from soy to GS and he continues to have the strangest coloured poos.  I attributed the dark green ones to the soy but now they are a dark bluish-green.  For anyone else on GS is this the same for your lo or is it different?

My daughter is on nestle good start and it varies from green to sometimes its yellow with those fatty curds that breastfed babies get  :)

As long as they are not hard little balls and she's not constipated (which my son who is now 5 yrs and my daughter who is 2mnths) never had .. having been on good start.

I often hear about other babies on similac and such that are always gassy and constipated. Good Start seems to alleviate those problems..

My DD always got REALLY dark green poos on Good Start.  It also had a very smooth consistency.

My twins girls are on GS and their poo is dark green or mustard yellow (breast milk).  I think GS has a hotline you can call about questions on their products and you could ask if this is normal.

YEs, my lo's poos are greenish blue and she drinks GS.  They have always been this way since she had formula.  Don't worry.  Our GI doc looked at them and said it was fine.

Yep..dark green to almost black here.  And smelly.  Hooo-wee did they stink!  Her solid food poops don't stink like those GS poops.  Wow!  She could clear a room!  Okay...I'll stop now.   ;D

PS:  We asked the pediatrician several times about it - even inquired if it was too much iron and he said it was fine.

That sounds about right. ;D My dd had the funkiest grey green colored pops. I have been using good start since she went on to formula (when she was 6 months)and they have always been that lovely color :P ::)
