Please help, My 7 week old has been on EASY since birth. She has been sleeping from 7:30 pm(DF at 10:00) til somewhere between 4:45 and 5:15 for the last week. I try to give her the pacifier to see if she will go back to sleep til 7:00. She has only done that once. I have been giving her 2 oz. of formula when she wakes at this time so she can get back to sleep til 7:00. I know she is doing well for 7 weeks, but I am afraid that I am creating a bad habit by giving her 2 oz. at this time. She isn't screaming her head off for the bottle. She is just restless and sucks hard on the paci til it falls out. After the 2 oz. she does go back to sleep easily. Am I creating a bad habit?

I don't think you are creating a habit. She is still so young, so she probably is waking out of hunger after such a long stretch of sleep. Feed her what she wants, then put her back to bed and start your day at 7am. She is doing GREAT at night! Good for you! It sounds like you are doing a great job with EASY!

Yeah, I agree, a 5am feed at 7 weeks is fab, we've only just lost our 5am feed at 22 weeks!
If she is a good sleeper she will probably start to sleep through when she is bit bigger and can go that bit longer throughout the night.

I agree with PP.
At 7 weeks it is still very normal for your lo to have night wakings.
You are doing fantastic if your lo is going to 5:00am. Offer a small feed at that time, and then get ready to start your day at 7:00am.

I agree you are doing the right thing! It sounds like she is definitely hungry when she is waking. I also believe the 2 oz will not create a problem. It is enough to fill her tummy just that little bit to get her to 7am. I would not worry about her habitually waking at the same time once she does not need the feed. If you are not feeding to sleep at any other feed, then this one feed is not going to change anything.
