Lost interest in solids.
« on: August 30, 2006, 13:32:45 pm »

We started solids about two weeks ago, after 6 months mark. But since last two days DD doesnt want to eat solids, till now we have introduced rice cereals, peas and carrots. Before she would open her mouth when she saw the spoon full of food  ;D .

If it helps, we had gone on a two day trip and I didnt feed her solids then, could that be the reason?  ???

I still have two days to try carrots - to check if she is allergic to it, then I plan to switch to fruits in a hope that she might get the interest back.  :-\

Also, she is trying to crawl, learning to sit from sleeping position and trying to stand up holding furnitures!  :o

Wow sounds like alot is happening at the moment  ;)
I wouldn't worry to much at this stage just keep offering her the solids and you will find that her appetite will come back. As long as her milk intake isn't effect then that is fine.

Hiya,

From what I can gather from my own son, and the babies from my antenatal group, this is perfectly normal.  Our babies have all gone through patches where they've either eaten less, or completely refused solids.  If you keep offering, I'm sure she'll show interest again soon.

Yeah, she is very busy these days. I will surely keep offering her solids and one day she will bounce back, after she is done learning  ;D

well you know, we started our ds on fruits first. i think its all he would eat at first because it has natural sugar in it so its sweet. try some fruit and see if that helps.

Thats what I thought and I started with fruits after my initial post and it worked  ;D. She is through with applesauce, bananas and avacados ( ::) but thats not sweet). But she loves avacados and such I want her to eat that for her weight issues.

I guess I should have updated that  ;D

Thanks anyways.
