Title: Doesn't Take Much from Bottle and Underweight
Post by: Joyanna on February 12, 2006, 07:11:38 am
OUr LO, despite having a brith weight of 8 pouns 10 ounces, isn't much of an eater.  She's 3 + months old and is not gaining any of that baby fat seen on so many of your babes.  We've tried differed formulas and bottles, but it doesn't seem to make much difference.  WHen she's done, she's done and refuses anymore.  Dream feeds don't work... she simply refuses them.  I'm concerned about her lack of weight gain yet she remains on the 25 %tile so maybe she's just gonna be a petitie little thing ~ better a girl than a boy.

I still worry.  Any suggestions for increasing her caloric intake or would you just let her be?

How long has she remained on 25%?
How much formula is she taking?
roughly a day in ounces and at each feed?,
do you feed her 2 hourly?/ 4 hourly?
What teats is?
What Bottles?
Does she cry a lot?
When does she do this after feeds?
What are her stools like?
Roughly how many wet nappies is she having?
