3 hr EASY to 4 hr EASY
« on: June 09, 2007, 23:58:43 pm »
Hi Ladies!

Here is my dilemma....

My DD is nearly 5 months old.

DD is quite tiny (about 5.5 kg - 12lb 2oz) and still likes to eat every 3 hrs (sometimes 2.5 hrs!).

Her A time used to be 2 hrs - but I'm noticing she is extending this out to 2.5 hrs (sometimes 3 hrs).  If I try and put her down for a nap around the 2 hr mark she is generally not ready - however it is extended out a bit further and I watch her signs I can usually get her down without much fuss.

What now seems to be happening is she needs a feed before her nap!

What would you suggest??

I am reluctant to extend her feed times because of her small weight.  She is BF.

Thanks for any advice...

Suzanne

Is she getting a full feed at each meal?

Maybe you could try feeding her, waiting 5 minutes and then trying to get some more into her?  This might help fill her up more so that she can extend her feed times as most los at 5 months are on a 4 hour EASY....eating every 4 hours.

Is she on solids?
