My lo is pretty much on a four hour easy now but had shown tired signs after about an hour and a half so I was putting down for naps them and she was settling ok. I have tried to put her down before she got too overtired, buy I think today she may have been undertired as she has fussed throughout the nap when normally she passes out for a couple of hours. I put her down awake at 1hr 45. Do you think I should try and extend awake time to 2 hours?
Out and about she will only cat nap cos too nosey so I like her to have at least one decent nap at home if possible. She sleeps through the night and would hate bad nap management to disrupt this!!

Always easier for me to put LOs down OT. UT led to serious grumpy resistance (both have spirited streak), but sensitive LO1 also v upset by OT. A bit OT always better for us than a bit UT. HTH.

I found the same as weaver.
Be kind to yourself. It takes a while to get to know your babies cues and if you have an LO with a small sleep window it can be very tough.

I always found OT that bit easier (and much easier to resettle if DS short napped). He is a spirited LO and had a miniscule sleep window.

What age is she hun? About 4 mos? Still teeny really. Her sleep window will increase as time goes on. With LO1 tbh I had to be bang on time, within 5 mins really, or we were APOPing, ie feeding to sleep. But could never APOP a UT nap.
