Need Blackout advice
« on: February 08, 2006, 09:42:23 am »
My DDs room has a blackout blind (that was what was written on the box) but it still lets some daylight in even when I draw the curtains.

What can I try to stop the daylight filtering in, as it is very sunny today  :o, and she can't nap, she is talking to herself as I type this.

We cut black posterboard to size and taped it directly on the window. I've heard you can do the same with aluminum foil.

Aluminum foil works GREAT!!  Almost TOO good - it doesn't let a single droplet of light in, if put up correctly!!!

It made ds's room so dark, we actually had to remove some of it!
