14 week old 45 min naps
« on: March 24, 2014, 10:52:31 am »
My 14 week old son has started the 45 min napping. I've been reading through some of the other posts.
I'm trying to stick to the 4 hr easy but it's hard with the naps
He is 16lb and does sleep from 730pm to 7 am approx so I guess I shouldn't complain too much

I try to watch for the tired cues so I can nap him straight away
If he sleeps on me he does sleep longer

If he wakes through the night he can self soothe. I try not to pick him up but he starts screaming. I've also tried the pat/ssh and making sure the room is darker but to no avail

If he naps in my bed with me he seems to sleep longer

Any suggestions?

Hi, can you post a typical day in EAS format?  It would help to see how long his A times are and if that's a factor in the short naps.  45mins is often UT so he might just need a bit of a push to stay awake longer.  This is a really tricky age though and short naps are so so common
