Just curious as to what age all of you with older children stopped using the sippy cup and went to a regular cup.  :)

I don't remember exactly, but about 6mo ago I guess (2.5yo), he uses an open cup at home & a sports bottle when we are out... but then my 15mo prefers sports bottles to sippys now, so I think we are almost over sippys except for in their bedrooms for night drinks, they both use open cups or sports bottles... pretty much their choices

DD is 3 since may and still mostly uses her sippy eg when she's on the sofa, in the car etc.

When we all sit sown for meals together around the table - I now try and remember to give her a proper cup - she manages really well

At just over 2.5.  Open cup if we are at the table, otherwise closed cup if there's any possiblity there could be spillage - sippy in bed, in car, on the sofa.

Gave dd an open plasic glass at about 19 months and she did really well from it, now she is using a delph cup in order to tempt her to drink, it's working really well though of course I am afraid she will fling it to the floor. When she is in her buggy ( rare nowadays) or her car seat she has a sippy cup ( free flow) with the lid. We don't however put milk in it only water.

Thanks so much ladies. I guess we'll try to start with an open cup at the table and see what happens.  ;D Maybe a few trial runs outside first.
