anyone else give birth to a cricket?!
« on: May 31, 2007, 07:54:03 am »
hiya,

my son gets up a few times every night and goes "la la la la la chatter chatter chatter mmmmm mmmmm mmmmmm" until he falls back asleep. what is the deal with this? does anybody else have a LO that does this? is this ok? do i just need better earplugs or is this a problem with his sleep? i've decided that he was a cricket in a past life!

i love him and i love his singing but for goodness sake!!

I love that theory!  My birth club refers to it as a crib party.  Totally normal.  It's him self soothing back to sleep.    ;)

Umm, don't shoot the messager.  Charlotte still does it.  But now it's mama, daddy, doggie, ducky, etc.  As well as giggles and squeals at times.  Now I wake up, hear the party and go back to sleep.

Hi yaya!!
Yup, cute as heck, but a Hurricane at times.  This morning I woke to a THUMP on the wall.  Seems she stuck both feet through the bars and kicked the wall in her sleep.    ::)  Things just get more amusing all the time...   ;)

Ummm...until about 2 weeks ago my DD would wake screaming during the night and in the morning.  Let me tell you...that ain't cute.  Now we get mostly crying at night and mostly talking in the morning - mommy, daddy and a really cute Marco-Polo-y game that we play where she yells "B!" and we yell "baby bear".  It's a play on all our nicknames and she LOVES it all the time.  Every once in a while she'll holler out momeeee, dadeee, or B during the night, but we ususally still get crying.  Can't wait for that to stop but I'm not holding my breath...

Yup, and mine sleepcrawls.  How the heck do you put a kid like that in a big kid bed?  She still sleeps sideways at one end of the crib, and migrates a bit during the night.   ???
