Where do you fit-in bottle when A time increased?
« on: April 09, 2011, 20:19:28 pm »
LO has dropped CN and increased A time.  I am confused as to when to feed bottle.

On a good day  ;)
wake 7:00
bottle 7:15-7:30 because not interested in bottle maybe 4 oz
nap 10:00-11:30
bottle 12:00 not interested sooner 4-5 oz
nap 2:30-4:00 or 4:30
bottle 4:30 4-5-6 oz (different every day)
bottle ??? 7:00 hard to fit in 4-5 oz
bed 7:30ish
DF 11:00 or 11:30 5oz drains bottle

We thought we had a teat issue so increased to larger one but milk has not increased.  This is all on a good day, sometimes alot less oz intake.  I don't want to drop a bottle, should I give her a top up before her second nap?

There is just a period where it doesn't quite work really - and what you are doing is just fine really.

Personally I would limit the 4.30pm bottle to a little one (4oz) and see if that makes the bedtime one a little easier.

It also seems like it may be time to start weaning that DF if she isn't very hungry in the morning.

Soon solids will bridge these gaps a little for you  :) :-*

thanks for input Liz :D

things are never like "on a good day" but if it were to happen!

We have discussed reducing DF but too chicken yet!  Solids didn't go over well so we are waiting a week and trying again....that doesn't stress me out though.

We're having so much trouble with A times, DD is all over.

The A times seem to settle down a lot after about 6-7 mths or so really - DD still does similar now to what she was doing then - I guess the increased activity levels help slow them down a bit.
