Helping my daughter with her naps - for how long?
« on: May 13, 2006, 07:54:38 am »
I just started with Tracey's advice from the interview to put my 2 month old DD down for her naps. I was wondering how long I will have to use the patting/shh-ing before she learns to sleep on her own? Wouldn't this routine become a prop for her day naps? I have to go back to work soon and am afraid that the caregiver wouldn't be as patient as I am.

Thanks,
Tuty

It gets better.  It took my DD about 1.5 months, I started when she was 2.5 months.  It was crazy at first but now I can put her down for a nap and, most times, she may do a soft wimper for a second, rolls herself onto her side and passes out.  Only once and a while do I actually have to shush her, I never have to PU/PD anymore.
