If baby wakes at 6am cooing and talking to himself but doesn't feed until 7am, does this count towards the 1.5hour awake time?

I think most people half awake time in the cot!! I personally get my baby up and fed and start the day to prevent confusion and ot/ut loops. Sorry not much help xx

Awake time is all time awake.  However, first thing in the morning people do different things.  Some (like pp said) just get LO up when they wake and start the day so there's no confusion, others count quiet time in cot as half A time so if LO is awake 6am-7am, count as 30 mins A time.  Others count all quiet time in cot as sleep time, but I think that tends to work a bit better for slightly older babies.  It doesn't matter which you do really, as long as you are consistent :)
