Assuming he sleeps to his next feed that easy sounds perfect for a 16wo.

I assume you are formula feeding since you mention bottles. How many ounces is he taking over the 4 day feeds and the DF? Is he still getting as much overall as he was when feeling four-hourly?

There is a growth spurt at 4mo and also developmental changes to the way LOs sleep which means they spend more time in light sleep and can wake more. Does he go to sleep for naps and at BT independently? Could the dummy be becoming a prop and he is waking for it do you think?

yes he is bottle fed i hav just up him to 7 oz today as he was finishing his bottles and looking for more. the dummy has diff become a prop this last while for naps and he used to go to sleep at nite without but now he wakes for it. for his df can diff each nite sometimes he may take 3-4 oz or sometimes he can finish bottle.

Diff think the dummy has come a prop as he he trys to suck his thumb but just dont seem to b enough for him anymore. i think he is also teething and i am giving him teething gel but dont know if it helping. i was thinkng of getting rid of the dummy at nite and mayb let him hav it during the day asked this on prpos page but girl thinks prob wouldnt work i dont know what to do

I agree if you ditch the dummy it would need to be total or he would continue to look for it I expect.

Have you seen this link? Gradual Weaning Process (Recommended for young infant)

He's getting plenty of sleep and milk during the day so I don't think you should be thinking about moving back to a 3hr EASY.

If you think he is having a growth spurt it may be better to wait until after that is over to wean the dummy if that is your plan. That does sound like quite a lot of milk but I'm not sure if that is normal during a GS. It may be worth asking on the bottle feeding forum :)
