DLS question - clocks go back here
« on: March 25, 2013, 18:14:09 pm »
I have finally kind of got T on 2 naps and with a reasonable night. But it's 6-6 ::) now clocks are moving it's going to be 5-5 (no way!)

We had best night ever last night where he settled well at 6 (other than a bit of pain) and had 1 NF 11. WU 5.30 out of cot 6.10

He is textbook, can handle up to 3 hrs A (not consistently yet though) ... Thoughts on getting through this change ???

I wondered if doing a day of all short naps (ie hope he stirs and no resettles) would help as I could offer 3-4 to get us to 7/8 pm BT, then hop WU is no earlier than 6am new time?

When do they change? Is there time to back up the routin by 15/20 min increments?  If I had to do it that is they way I would want to, but thankfully we don't have dst here.

Sara, did you see this? Adjusting to Daylight Savings Time Change and there is another link in that link :).
The way I used to do it and still does is that I handle with one day of OT and get to BT in the new time (so an hour later from the old time). Usually DS does well with it, there was one time it took him another night to push his WU to it's usual time.
Good luck! Happy to hear you are having better nights!

It's sun. We're already pushing As and just moved to 2 naps so I don't think he could handle extra :-\ hence why I wondered about just getting through the day with somehow a later BT :-\  I doubt he would take the CN, unless he had short naps all day....

Ill read up now Noa x

Go for a 15min change per day for 4 days if you possibly can!

That's what we've always done here and it really is the least stressful option for everyone  :-*

Our clocks change on Sunday too, so I need to go and write my list of nap / sleep times to start on Thursday  :)

Good luck!
