Travelling through time zones
« on: April 07, 2006, 09:21:07 am »
Hi,
in a week's time we will be travelling to South Africa, which is 10 hours behind New Zealand time. We will be there for 6 weeks. I considered keeping her to her current local time, but as I will need to be up during the day, I can not be up during the night as well.

Question is: How do I transition my DD routine into the new time zone? And how long will it take?

Thanks,
Sandra

I haven't travelled yet with my lo, but next Wednesday I'm going to Sweden with her, which is 6 hrs ahead of Canada. I plan to let her eat and sleep whenever she wants on the way there, and when I get there ease her back into the routine on Sweden time. I imagine the time change is actually  harder on us than them, but perhaps I'm wrong. Time will tell.  Enjoy your trip.
