DS caught hand, foot and mouth disease at home daycare.  Sleep was awful for a bit and now he's catching up.  Not sure if I should wake him this morning?  Normally he's up around 6:45 but it's now 7:35 and I'm not sure what to do.  Let him keep sleeping?

I would let him sleep, his body probably needs it. I would only limit afternoon sleep so as not to disrupt bedtime.

Same here.
Hugs Hun, we've just had illness too and I let Tom sleep in as much as possible when he was catching up. Once I knew he was caught up then I started (am now starting I should say) to get him back on track x

Thanks ladies.  The input to just limit afternoon sleep was perfect. It's worked really well to keep the nap capped at 2hrs and just let him sleep at night as long as needed. He's on the mend and has been happy as can be all week (just has a rash all over his body but fever only lasted a day) but he's clearly still fighting it/recovering as he's sleeping more than usual doing 2 hr capped naps and 11.5-12 hr nights.

Thank! Truthfully he seems to "feel" fine - he's been in a particularly fantastic mood for several days now.  Quite amazing, really as he literally has a rash all over!  What a trooper!
