He does sometimes mess around in the night.  I am fairly sure he isn't hungry at night or he wouldn't settle for so long in the last few nights when I haven't fed him.  But even when he is really hungry at 5am he still breaks off to give me a smile from time to time.  I know you aren't supposed to have any eye contact or socialise with them during night feeds but I can't resist it.  Anyway, last night he woke at 2 and resettled himself and I didn't hear from him again till 5.15.  Hurrah!  Hopefully, it wasn't just a one off and that's it now (apart from the regression of course).  Hoping eventually he will stop the early waking but about half of the babies of his age I know are doing it.

I'm with you on the early wakings  ::)  That's great you've managed to get rid of the night feeds, you just need to have words with him about staying in bed later now!
