So far today:

B-waffle and juice
S-2 or 3 crackers, raisins, yogurt, fruit cup (at varying times)
L-Butternut squash casserole (like a mac n' cheese mixed with the squash and baked)
S-found cookies in her diaper bag!
D-Not sure but I'd better think of something good b/c she seems to be in an eating mood.

:)

Yesterday at soft play DS was whiney and hot and last night he woke 3 times which is very unusal so  didn't have high hope sfor today food wise! However....

B - grapes and banana pieces, apple and raisin porridge,1 sausage, water
No snack and early lunch as went swimming
L - veggie lasagne, grapes, a jammie dodger biscuit, water
S- at swimming - organix blackcurrant bar, bread sticks, water
D - Homemade soup (onion, garlic, carrot, mushroom, lentils and spices), few dry cheerios, pieces of apple, half a slice of fruit loaf, water
Supper - weetabix and warm milk

Thanks for replying to my questions about tater tots and fruit cups!
As for weetabix - its a staple here! Always for supper and most of the time breakfast too!

No, when I moved to the UK everyone was pretty shocked that I didn't know what it was! The closest thing that we would really have is large shredded wheat - probably the same thing content wise but weetabix is even more "shredded" and goes soggy really fast!

thanks for the explanation...sounds a bit like shredded wheat i guess.

B-peaches, yogurt
s-fruit bar, OJ, bite of brownie
L-1/2 turkey sandwich, carrots, broccoli
s-?
D-will be leftover chicken and pasta with cheese and veg, she loved it yesterday and ate a whole plate full (covered in ketchup of course).

never heard of skorpor...are they like a swedish cracker?

love hearing about different food ideas on this thread!

DD solved the dinner dilemma for me. She found a spaghetti rings toddler meal in her diaper bag. (after she ate those cookies AND found a bag of cheese puffs which I gave her) She also found a fruit cup but I drew the line. So she had those spaghetti things for dinner and a cup of milk.

Kroger, which is a chain grocery store in the south, sells Weetabix on the cereal aisle.  A bit pricey too.  At least it does where I live.  I just happened to notice one day.

I just googled weetabix and found the USA website. They DO sell them here but only in a small number of stores. I put in my zip and there are a couple of stores not too far away but I don't know exactly where they are and if they'd carry other things I'd want to make it worth a trip.

TBH, weetbix/weetabix is an acquired taste - you either love it or hate it. I absolutely can't stand the way it goes all mushy but DH and DS1 love it.

Mashi, funny what LOs think is chocolate! DS2 walks aroudn with one of his brother's lollipops and calls it chocolate. He even sits i nthe stroller with it (still covered) in his hand. He's never tasted either and long may it stay that way!

We went to a birthday party for DS1 today so there was lots of whining for treats that he couldn't eat because of his MSPI. He used to be OK with substitutes from home but now he's wised up. Next time he will stay at home while either I or DH take his brother.

Breakfast: Toast and boiled egg, MSPI egg nog

Morning tea: Some of my scrambled egg, bacon, pineapple

Lunch: whined for pizza, cake and lollies at the party, refused his cevapcici and ham and veggie muffin (poked his finger in it, tore it to bits and threw it on the ground), ate dried fruit, melon, popcorn and currant cupcake (brought from home)

Dinner: sliced steak, potato slices (first time ever! Yummy, he said), threw his sweet potato and cucumber on the floor. MSPI eggnog.

Cathie - is that 'true' about spirited LOs being into everything - including their variety of foods? A does okay food-wise but she's definitely not in Nick's league  ;) but then she was a touchy / textbook baby rather than spirited - which reminds me, keep meaning to do the toddler quiz.

Yesterday A did okay - not great cos she was burning up, she woke up with rosy cheeks and was very warm to touch - have never known her have such a fever. Got worse during the day - all she did was sit on the sofa with DH and/or I pretty much all day - called the out of hours doctor's line (as it was Saturday) and they gave us advice over the phone (calpol, lots of fluids, etc) and this morning she's woken up back to her normal self - she has one hell of an immune system that girl LOL!!

So yesterday went like this:
B: 2 banana & pear home-made pancakes with honey, juice
S: fruit humzinger bar, water
L: offered her soup and toast - she ate some toast, water
S: cheese flapjack, water
D: she wanted cheese - so DH made her some 'pizza toast' (tomato puree and cheese on toast), she also had some sausage from a sausage roll (pulled off the pastry  ::)), bit of apple muller rice, pear, hot blackcurrant juice
2 small shortcake stars, hot chocolate

Not bad for a sick day I suppose

WOW- even Nick doesn't eat like that when sick! I'm glad she's feeling better today, and I daresay her healthy diet helps with her immune system.

You and I must enjoy a psychic bond- we had pear pancakes this AM! LOL

Yesterday Nick ate:
B: shrededed wheat with milk, juice, banana
L:mac and cheese, brussels sprouts, chocolate donut hole, milk
D:cheeseburger with extra pickles, milk, apple slices, apple pie (McDonalds- as we were out on a family date and suddenly realized it was 6:30PM and poor Nick was saying, "I'm really hungry")
S: banana and water at 9PM!!!

Kid pooped 3 times yesterday and was a bit fussy. ATM he's pretending to puke in the potty- LOL.

so DH made her some 'pizza toast' (tomato puree and cheese on toast)

Cathie-Ava pooped 3 times yesterday as well and short napped as a result of one of them. Sheesh.

Hahaha. I've totally made this for DD! Mmmmmmmm

It's one of DH's signature dishes LOL - very tasty though  ;D

Alice is better temp-wise today, and much more like herself . . . however she's sleeping even more than ever (3 1/2 hr naps yesterday and today - had to be woken from them  :o) - and she's not eaten a great deal, tho not bad either.

You and I must enjoy a psychic bond- we had pear pancakes this AM! LOL

Indeed we must - we had them today too  :-*

B: 2 banana & pear pancakes with honey, pear, hot blackcurrant juice
S: home-made cheesy flapjack, water
L: baked beans & mushrooms, topped with grated cheese on toast, water - ate about half but NOT the mushrooms  ::)
S: fruit humzinger bar, water
D: baked omlette (with carrots, potatoes, mushrooms, tomatoes) topped with grated cheese - picked the cheese off, left the rest  ::), hot blackcurrant juice

DH told her that she couldn't have any treats after dinner (ie biscuits, yoghurt, etc) if she didn't eat any of her main - she seemed ok with that - am still not sure which way to go with that . . .

She's definitely eating well despite her illness Berni!! Do you think it is a growth spurt? Eating well and sleeping LOADS are sure signs of it here!

Not too too bad today....

Br: French toast!!!!!!!!!  He has refused this and anything with egg for months so I was thrilled!!!  Going to add it to brekkie rotation and keep getting the eggs into him!

Sn: homemade oatmeal muffin.  ate it like a dog while watching a Barney DVD about dogs ::) vanilla soy milk

Lunch: some sliced deli turkey and toast with cream cheese, some of DH's crisps and a bit of juice

Sn: zweiback biscuit and some water

Din: few bites of sausage risotto but did not like it at all, 3 helpings of baked beans (hoping tomorrow's poop is before DH leaves for work!!), toast, a full kiwi dipped in cherry yogurt and 2 licks of a dishwasher tablet that he's been desperate to get into his mouth for a week.
