Ok Kara,
Just spoke with doctor....his xray is much improved!!!  He is clearing things out.  So she wants me to continue the medicines for the next 2 weeks and then get another xray and we can discuss where to go from there once has has things moving regularly.....

So thats great news!!! Now I can only hope that things keep improving!!!  Now I know based on his actions when he is getting backed up, so that helps!!!

Yeah tell me about it!! I have been so stressed these last few days wondering what was going to happen!!!  I am very thankful to have you as well!!!

Now I know what to look for in him to know he is getting bad and can prevent that from happening again!!! I will keep the supps on hand just in case!! :)

Should I just continue to feed him the way I have been for the next two weeks to be safe??

Here is his eating:
7:30 5oz bottle
8:30 1 jar baby food mixed with 2 tbsp oatmeal cereal (fruit, at least 100 calories)

12:30 1 jar veggies(fiberous), 1 turkey sausage or chicken, 1 cup of fruit (pineapple or peaches)
2:30 5oz bottle

5:00 1 jar veggies(fiberous), sausage or chicken, fruit (blueberries or peaches or baby food fruit) and yogurt bites if he is still hungry

7:30 7 oz bottle

The last 2 nights he hasnt wanted as much in the BT bottle, is that ok??  Like he drinks maybe 6oz.....should I worry or not since the xray is good??

I wouldn't worry about the bedtime bottle at all... an ounce of formula is only about 20 calories - he could make that up with an extra bite of chicken ;)  I would just make sure that he has his water/juice sippy around all the time and let him drink what he needs...

I would keep the food plan the same since it seems to be working!

Ok, what is your take on a dairy intolerance??  Do you think I should experiement with soy or coconut milk to see if it helps?? I would hate to torture him with the formula for 2 more weeks if its that easy to fix....I really dont/havent fed him much other dairy since all this has happened...

I just worry that he isnt getting enough carbs.....I really dont feed him any???

If it is a dairy issue, soy could give the same result... very common to have a problem with both not just one...   I don't know much about other kinds of milk - maybe a post on allergies and intolerances is a good idea!

He is getting lots of carbs - just not the simple carbs you are thinking of like white pasta/rice/bread ;)  Fruits and veggies are full of carbs.

Ok, I did post on the intolerance board they suggested coconut milk.  Do you think I should try it now or wait until I take him back to the doctor??

I will keep his diet the same for now.  :)

I would check with the dr first re the coconut milk - it doesn't have the nutrients that formula has...

Given his diet right now, I would keep him on formula, IIWM.

So the last two days I have been having trouble getting him to drink bottles again. If I didn't just get an xray I would think its his belly but its not.  He does have a tooth about to pop but his behavior is really odd. I have to hold him down and shove the bottle in there while he's screaming and as soon as he tastes it he drinks it. Tonight he kept stopping and I would have to do it all over again...I finally stopped when there was 2oz left.  Does this sound like teething?? Also, he got shots this afternoon at his 1 yr checkup.:(
