Where to nap?
« on: January 09, 2006, 12:35:17 pm »
I have started following EASY 3 hr routine with my 7 week old. I have a query though. Where should I put him down for his naps. Iam worried that if I put him in his moses basket, where he sleeps at night, I could cause less differentiation between night and day and cause a day/night mix up problem. Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

Hi there,

As far as I am aware, putting your lo to sleep in the same place shouldn't cause confusion.  The room is likely not as dark during the day and that in itself might differentiate it for your lo.  I put my lo down for naps in his bassinet or pack n play depending on where I wanted him to be.  HTH

Thanks for the advice. I will put him down in his moses basket and see how we get on!

My son always naps in his crib.  That way he knows that when he's in there, it's time to sleep.  I think he knows that the long sleep comes after bathtime.  In fact, on a couple of occasions we tried to skip the bath and he wouldn't settle down to sleep until we gave him a bath.  I guess Pavlov knew what he was doing, huh?
God will give you exactly what you ask Him for, even if it's not in the package you expected it to be in.

My son is 18mths, and he still need's a bath before bed time.  It's weird they just come to expect it.  Ok I get my bath, a story, snack then bed...

Oh and ya I always put him down for naps in his crib.
Tanner- My active, fun loving 4yr old.
