on EASY routine but baby won't stretch feeding time
« on: August 11, 2013, 09:27:24 am »
Hi there,

I am a struggling tired mommy, just like some of you and I am having a hard time to get my 3.5 months old son to have feeding 3 ours apart. Right now, he is feeding 2.5 hours and it is very tiring to me as I also am a fulltime student who needs study time and so on. He naps very little, 40-45 minutes. He is exclusively breastfed and is a happy spitter. :) I am having a hard time stretching his feeding times, and wonder if you guys have any suggestions. Also, he dream feeds at night but wakes up every 3 hours to eat through out the night. I wonder what am I doing wrong and what can I do to increase the breaks between feeding time, extend naps and get him to stay asleep without feeding at night.

THANKS for any advise!

Hi and welcome to the boards!

Many EBF babies don't manage to get to 3h between feeds at this age. Sorry, I know that this is not what you want hear :(.
But perhaps you'd like to post your day in an EASY format and we can have a look if we can help him stretch the naps longer. I don't promise anything because often 45min naps at this age are developmental, but maybe his A times need a tweak and it will help, yk?
