Title: Parent's Choice formula
Post by: Barbara on August 29, 2005, 13:51:34 pm
I have to say I am very pleased with WalMart's brand of formula called Parent's Choice.  I had to switched DS#2 last week to a lactose free formula.  I decided to try it as it was cheaper than the rest and DS hasn't had any issues with the change.

I also like that it has the added lipids DHA and ARA.  I was using Carnation Good Start without the lipids as it was cheaper than their Supreme with lipids.

Anyone else use this formula?

We also switched DD over to Parent's Choice brand about a month ago. She was started on Enfamil A+ in the hospital so we used that once we got home. It is very expensive, $25 a can and the PC is only $20 a can and it is larger than the Enfamil A+!  We use the one with the ARA/DHA also. We had tried regular Enfamil a couple of weeks prior and DD spit it out, puked it up, cried and fussed after she ate etc... When we switched over to the Walmart brand we expected some reaction (more vomitting, tummy troubles etc...) but NOTHING!!
My DF says he finds it a little harder to mix than the Enfamil A+ but for the extra $$$ savings, it's not a big deal at all!
It was actually on this website that I read someone's post to try the Parent's Choice as it was very highly rated.

Goodness, I wish I had known earlier, and I would have switched DS over to the parent's choice brand.  As he's out of the formula within a month or so, it's just easier to keep him on the Enfamil A+.

However, I LOVE their brand of diapers.  I can't say it enough.  Pampers gives him infections and leaks way too much, Huggies leak and the other no-name diapers have quality issues.  Just my 2 cents worth
