10 months-maybe ready for 3 BF-please post schedule
« on: January 21, 2006, 15:04:41 pm »
Hello!

DD's schedule looks like this
7:30 wake and BF
8:30 Breakfast
10:30-11:30 Nap
11:30 wake and BF
12:30 Lunch
2:30-3:30 Nap
3:30 wake and BF
5:00 Dinner
7:00 BF
7:30 Bed

She has always taken a bottle from me or anyone.  But, lately doesn't want anything to do with it.  I have also tried the sippy which she takes fne at all other meals with no luck.  It is usually at the 7 pm feeding when I am out.  So sometimes she would just go to bed without it.  Those nights she would wake some but only for a minute or so and then go back to sleep on her own.  It made me think that maybe she doesn't need that feeding.  Or that I need to eliminate one throughout the day.  What do ya'll think?  Could you post your schedules?  Thanks for the help!

Kai is 9 months and for the past month his routine has been like yours but for one thing no feed at 11.30pm!! He seems fine and loves his milk. He did hate bottles but 2 weeks ago bit me a lot and since then has loved bottles!!! Still trying with beakers but I think it will just happen. My advice would be 3 feeds, you can but try
good luck

My DS is 9.5  months and has pretty much the  same schedule as hihowdy.   We didn't have too much of a schedule until we started doing pu/pd 10 days ago.  Before that we were doing three bf and three meals.  When we started to right our wrongs I thought I needed the 4th feeding to go along with the schedule.  He is taking longer naps and falling asleep on his own MUCH more(yeah!), but I don't notice a difference with the feedings....should I have stayed with 3?  Is it too early to be at 3?  What would a schedule of 3 feedings be for my ds who right now does this:
6ish wu
7/7:30 bf
8/8:30 breakfast
9:30/10  nap (1/2 hour)
11:00 bf
12/12:30 lunch
1:30 nap (1 1/2 hrs)
3-4 bf
5:30 dinner
7ish bf
bed which he usually sleeps 10-11 hours

As I mentioned before we are new to The Wisperer, unfortunately, so we can use all the help anyone can give.
Also, I know that my ds is short 1-2 hours what he should be sleeping, but we're working on that!

Thanks,
Cheri :)

Dd is one year, and we are about to drop to two feeds a day, but when we dropped from four to three, I moved lunch up to 11:30ish and bf'd at 1:00pm, an hour or so before her PM nap.  I also offered a sippy of water after her AM and PM naps.  Here's what our schedule looks like (on a good day)...

7:00am - Wake and BF
8:30am - Breakfast
9:30am - AM nap, 1 hour
11:30am - Lunch
1:00pm - BF
2:00pm - PM nap, 1.5 hour
3:30pm - usually a small snack depending on how she's been eating and when dinner will be
5:15pm - Dinner
7:00pm - BF
7:30pm - Bed

That is very helpful...thank you!  It makes so much sense when someone else says it!
