Threw Up Her Pureed Chicken
« on: August 08, 2006, 23:42:51 pm »
My Lo is 7 months old and is eating a fair variety of pureed fruits, veggies and infant cereals.  My Dr. said to start her on meats now so I pureed some cooked chicken breasts and tried her on that.  She made a terrible face and spit it out (predictable).  My concern is that after the second spoonful she actually vomited up all of her veggies she had just eaten.  Is this normal?  Is it a reaction to taste?  Texture?

Try mixing it with her veges. I think it is the texture they aren't use to my DD didn't like it on it's own either but would eat it when mixed with her veges.

Keep in mind that they don't always like something from the start, and it may take a few tries before developing a liking for somthing new.

Another thing to try is changing the consistency of the puree, perhaps it's too thick? Natasha already suggested mixing it with the veggies. If this is still too thick, add a bit of liquid until you get the right consistency.
