hi my daughter is 13 months now & ready i think to have a bit more of our grown up food, thing is we are all veggie & we eat a lot of quorn.
is quorn okay to give to her?
I mean mostly the mince stuff in a bolonaise sause what do you guys think?

OK, admittedly I'm a total carnivore ;), but what is Quorn?

Fine - we are too and both mine love it. They like the slices in snadwiches, mince in spaghetti etc and also the sausages.

Just a word of warning - it's a great food for adults as it is filling but low in calories - not ideal for kids to be having all the time. So as with everything - in moderation!

Just looked it up - at http://www.quorn.com, actually :) - and it looks OK. 

A word of caution, though: babies and kids NEED cholesterol for brain and neuron and eye development (which is why breast milk is so high in cholesterol), so even if you're vegetarian, if your kids can get it from other non-meat sources that'd be good. :) If you're not vegan and food allergies aren't an issue, full-fat dairy (including yogurt and cheese, which are cultured dairy and therefore usually easier to digest) and eggs are good sources of that kind of fat.
