My 5 week old baby makes some very strange, very loud 'cat on heat' noises usually at night in her sleep.  They seem to get  worse as the night progresses, but they don't wake her up.  They occasionally coincide with wind, can this be the reason? Any ideas?  Does anyone else have a baby that does this, is it normal?

Oh yes, very strange noises all through the night.  It's not so bad now but when Zander was newborn it was like sharing a room with a baby elephant!

Hiya....

It is totally normal...my son jakob snores like a freight train and makes this gurgling, grunting sound most nights...hence why he went into his own room at 5 weeks of age!!!!!!!

Do not worry......your baby is fine......
