Title: 13mo starting sleep training. advice please!
Post by: MissyD on August 18, 2014, 16:56:51 pm
Hi there,

My ds2 has always been fed to sleep, since birth. Now that I am looking to wean him, I am at a bit of a predicament BC feeding is how he goes to sleep. We tried sleep training at 8 months but he would vomit when I did pupd and learned that if he forced himself to gag, I would have to pick him up. So after that I didn't bother continuing it. To be honest, he sleeps pretty well, other than initially needing my boob to zonk off.

What would be the best course of action if I want him to sleep independently??  Do I still use pupd at his age? Wiwo?

Thanks!

Wi/wo is more for kids who have been independent sleepers but need to get back on track. I wonder if gw would work better in this case but have a look at this:

Walk In/Walk Out vs. The Gradual Withdrawal Method (HOW TO CHOOSE)
