Discovered this weekend that we really need to push A times and do 2 full feeds in the am before she gets a half decent nap...I did pd for naps on Sat and pushed her a bit and got almost 2 decent naps...DH did pd for naps Sunday based on cues and got no good naps.  She's definitely better latching on when she isn't tired, but can't get a good nap unless I keep her up and feed her before her am nap...so I always get one feed that's really a struggle.  I may post her easy, but at this point I know what she needs and I don't feel like there's much I can do about the tired while eating issue until she gets older and isn't as tired while eating...

Could you try a split feed? So say she has 4 oz then 4. Before the nap but she is tired what about 3 then 3 a bit earlier. I guess then she is snacking right :-\

I don't think a split feed would work...this was her morning eating wise:

5:45am 5.5oz
Took her a bit to settle here, and she had a rotten ot day yesterday because of short naps so I let her sleep in
10am 4.5oz
11:20am 5oz
Nap 12-12:45
1:45pm 5oz (this was the difficult one because of the long A +45 min nap)
Nap 2- ?  It's 4pm and she's still asleep, just going to let her sleep I think ???

It's almost like she needs 14 + oz in the am in addition to any nfs before she can get a good nap.  If I don't do two feeds in that am A then I get short naps all day because she's always behind if that makes sense?

Wow she has a lot, sorry I thought she was needing 2 feeds because she wouldn't feed. But she is hungry isn't she! ;)

Lol, yup she's a bear!  She's over 14lbs and not even 3 months old yet...she's the same size DD1 was at 5 months old!

And it's like she's already splitting her feeds, she must know mommy can't get 10oz bottles so she's taking what she needs in 2 feeds ;)

Luckily in true bear like fashion once her belly is full she hibernates :)

Sure can ;)  Playtex are 10ozs and Avent are marked to 9ozs but hold closer to 10.5 ;)

Kara - which playex ones?

So we switched the level 3 nipple on the TT bottle and she does better than with the level 2.  But we still have problems, so I tried the variable flow again, and she did well for the first bottles of the day, then stopped doing so well...I only tried them again because sometimes we have to switch to them to even get her to latch on and she was latching much much better with the variable flow nipple, and then she decided she hated them again  :P

We aren't convinced the TT bottle is the best...so off I go to buy some different bottles to try...

We have a winner!

DD has been doing amazing with the playtex nursers/drop in system.  I think it's because we've been using them with the latex nipple instead of the silicone nipple like all the other bottles have.  The difference is amazing, she eats so calmly and feedings are so peaceful :)

Thanks for your help and support, you ladies are the best  :-*
