Please, please don't consider CIO in any form. BW does not support that method at all as it doesn't teach independent sleep. It's believed that CIO and CC only teach a baby that you won't be there when they need you and it breaks the trust between baby and parent. Plus it obviously goes against your instincts, which to me means that it's not a good idea.
